The International Film Music Critics Association, which was founded in 2004, is an association of editors, journalists, radio hosts and reviewers from online and print publications who specialize in writing about original film and television music. The aim of the IFMCA is to promote the music and composers of movies and television.
The group was originally formed as the Film Music Critics Jury by film music journalist and producer Mikael Carlsson, editor and journalist of filmmusicradio.com, filmmusicweekly.com and owner of the Swedish label MovieScore Media, and has now grown to comprise 43 members from countries as diverse as Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

The International Film Music Critics Association is not an elitist organisation. We welcome any new members as long as they are frequent soundtrack reviewers or active film music journalists. Anyone who wants to join, is welcome to send us an email describing why you should be a member of IFMCA.
